Apartment Improvements

Each year your maintenance fees pay for the general running of the resort such as maintenance and housekeeping, community fees, Aztec Country Club fees, electricity and rates and so on. In addition we are always seeking to improve the infrastructure of the resort and apartments. Below is a list of some of the recent improvements:

• Air conditioning has been added to 48 apartments
• Ceiling Fans have been added to 48 apartments
• Each year all apartments are internally painted throughout.
• Over the past 6 years over 80% of all kitchens and bathrooms have been replaced complete with new tiling and appliances.
• Additional safety features such as child safe balconies and fire sensors have been installed.

2008 IMPROVEMENTS

Shooters Sports Bar at Aztec Country Club

Aztec Country Club's latest addition is Shooters. Along with its pool tables, plasma TV's, great sports ambiance and friendly staff; Shooters offers every kind of sport event live on TV. So come in and check out their extensive drink and beer menu while viewing a live sports event.

New pool side restaurant opens up at Aztec Country Club

Since the beginning of the year, "La Piscina" has opened its doors to all our guests providing a nice "CHILL OUT" atmosphere. With its nice leather couches, new straw umbrellas alongside the swimming pool giving you a feel of the Spanish beach without the sand and offering a range of foods and cocktails; La Piscina offers comfort, a nice ambiance and great service to all of our guests.

Diez Tennis Academy brings its Summer Camp to the Aztec Country Club

This summer while your kids learn tennis; go to the beach, do shopping or just have a few hours to yourself is the idea behind the DIEZ TENNIS CAMP. Diez Tennis Camp its being running for over 5 years here on the coast. This year we welcome the Diez Family at the Aztec Country Club . This summer is going to be more exciting for all the kids.

Fellinis has done it again

This year the terrace at Fellinis has had a face lift. With a brand new extension, new toldos and brand new tables and chairs this summer's full Italian experience is just at Fellinis at the Aztec Country Club. Come in and try their extensive Italian menu or just have a glass of wine while enjoying the terrace and its views of the whole area.

2007 IMPROVEMENTS

Riviera Beach under new ownership. To be called Shenanigans

From January 2007 there is a new Irish bar in town. Offering a range of food and international beers as well as televising all major sporting events. This venue is set to be a great addition to Riviera del Sol and Lubina Sol.

Additional Internet terminals added at Aztec Country Club

Are you missing surfing the net whilst away on holidays? The Aztec Country Club has added a further 2 terminals in its reception area. Open 24 hours a day, the Aztec has now become the most convinient internet site on the coast.

2006 IMPROVEMENTS

New Restaurant at Lubina Sol

March 2006 sees the opening of the new Fair Isle restaurant at Lubina Sol. With magnificient views and a stunning English and Continental menu, The Far Isle is set to be one of the must visited restaurants in Riviera del Sol.

Improvements to Mini Bus Shuttle

Following feedback from a number of our guests. The regular mini bus timetable has been eliminated between Monday and Thursday and has been replaced by a request service. Hence, if you require the shuttle bus between 10am and 4:30pm just call reception at The Aztec on the phones provided, and the mini bus will be with you in moments.

PDM exteriors to be repainted in 2006

Following pressure from CPV, we are pleased to announce that the community of PDM is planning to repaint the exterior of their building in 2006. Painters are currently being sourced and we expect work to start in early 2006.

2005 IMPROVEMENTS

Funkey Monkey now rebranded as Riviera Beach

The Funkey Monkey is to be rebranded Riviera Beach from early summer 2005. With regular €2 a pint of beer nights, and televising of all major sporting events, the venue is set to become a popular place with Lubina Sol residents.

New Colour scheme for Torreoceano

2005 saw the exterior of Torreoceano repainted in a shade of terracota brown.

2004 IMPROVEMENTS

Mini Golf added to Lubina Sol

From May 2004, a new 12 hole mini golf course has been located on one of the tennis courts in Lubina Sol. Residents at the resort no longer have to travel to the Aztec Country Club for their “fix” of crazy golf.

A Funky Monkey has been found at Lubina

After several months of closure, we note that the Lubina pool side bar has re-opened with a new completely look. The Funky Monkey bar is open from mid morning until late, and offers a range of entertainment throughout the week including race nights, karaoke and much more.

Improvements to Copacabana Pool and gardens

Essential works were carried out to the pool pump and filters in April which meant that the area had to be closed for a few weeks. However, these works have been finished and a new more powerful pump has been installed which should reduce the cloudiness that affects the pool for several days after any rainfall.

A gated community at Torreoceano

We are pleased to report that the new gates and additional security features recently installed have substantially reduced the problems encountered by gypsies wandering into the resort.

Heated Pool at the Aztec

It is frustrating for many of our winter owners to enjoy the sun and sit in the 25 degrees of heat that regularly occurs between November to March only to find that the swimming pool is only 16 degrees!

It is important to CPV to promote winter time occupancy and we are therefore pleased to note that the Aztec Country Club Pool has been converted to a heated pool which is maintained at a very comfortable 27 degrees in the winter.
